Claire has developed a successful practice across a broad range of immigration and asylum law matters and has practiced as a Barrister in this area since 2010. Claire represents Appellants in the First Tier Tribunal, Upper Tribunal and the Administrative Court and drafts grounds of appeal to Courts at all levels. Prior to becoming a Barrister Claire advocated and campaigned on behalf of immigrants, refugees and asylum seekers at Refugee and Migrant Justice, Lambeth Law Centre, the Immigration Advisory Service, Women for Refugee Women and Refugee Action. Claire is dedicated to advocating on behalf of vulnerable individuals from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds and is committed to achieving the best outcome for those she represents.
Claire practices in family law representing and advising Applicants and Respondents on a wide range of private family law matters including Child Arrangement Orders, non-molestation orders, occupation orders, and prohibited steps orders. Claire is experienced in conducting lengthy fact-finding hearings including those involving allegations of sexual abuse against children. Claire provides representation in Forced Marriage and Committal proceedings at High Court level and is regularly instructed in sensitive and complex matters involving serious allegations of domestic violence and abuse, including sexual abuse cases with Local Authority involvement and matters involving immigration law.
Claire is a Public Access qualified Barrister and therefore is able to accept instructions direct from the public in immigration and family law matters.
